Sunflower Nut Butter
One of the reasons people have problems with peanut allergies is the nuts, which are actually legumes, often contain a mycotoxin called aflatoxin. But giving up peanuts and peanut butter can be hard, and that's where sunflower nut butter comes in, because it can provide a healthy alternative. No, it doesn't taste exactly like peanut butter, but when I add some Himalayan crystal salt to the organic brand I buy, it's a darn good substitute. AND it has so many amazing health benefits! Just be sure you buy a brand that's organic and with no sugar added. Or try making your own, if you have a food processor, Vitamix, or grinder.
Why it's good for you?
Try it on toast, slathered on bananas, added to smoothies, or just about any place you would normally use peanut butter!
