Leo full moon, Bruce Lipton, Abraham and Jo Dunning

If you haven’t already signed up for the 2011 Tapping World Summit, you need to act quickly so you won’t miss any of the great presentations. But even if you don’t think you want to sign up, be sure to check out this video by Dr. Bruce Lipton, who is a great advocate for the EFT/tapping process. The video is about 30 min. long and one of the most fascinating presentations I’ve seen about quantum physics, the conscious and subconscious mind, the placebo effect, DNA/genes and more. And he makes it all so understandable. I hadn’t planned on watching the whole thing, but couldn’t stop myself. Two thumbs up on this one!

Week of February 14 to 19

Sun Conjunct Neptune

Early this morning (Wednesday) the Sun was conjunct Neptune. With the Sun and Neptune both in the late degrees of Aquarius this is a double “celestial” aspect–providing access to higher states of consciousness (Aquarius) and the feeling-based awareness that we are all interconnected (Neptune). I see this as a time when we have tremendous access to our higher selves–and to our angels and spiritual guides in their many forms-animal allies, fairies, ancestors, ascended masters…

These past few days I’ve noticed that when I take time to meditate or simply be still for moments of time, I tap into witness consciousness, where I observe in a detached way what I am doing, and what is occurring around me with acute clarity and sensitivity. At the same time, I feel tremendous compassion and empathy well up in me when I see the pain in others–though I find it more easy than usual to not “take it on” in an unhealthy way.

This is the gift of Neptune in Aquarius–illuminated by Great Mystery, or the Sun. By Saturday, Neptune will have moved into the sign of Pisces so to me, this aspect represents a final release of the profoundly healing and liberating synthesis of Neptunian and Aquarian energies that have been evolving over the past 13 years.

Full Moon in Leo Conjunct Regulus

Early Friday morning, just after midnight MST, we experience a remarkable Full Moon at 29 Leo, almost exactly conjunct the royal star Regulus, known as the “heart of the lion” within the Lion Constellation. Consider that this is the final degree-where Leo is expressed in its fullest potential, its greatest actualization.

To me it seems appropriate that this royal star is referred to as the “heart” of the lion. Leo is ultimately about radiating great heart. The human being who embodies the finest qualities is the one who knows radiant self-love and acceptance–and by having gained this accurate understanding of his or her own divinity models and evokes this same exuberant self-valuing in others.

My Grandfather had Moon in Leo and he embodied this quality in a truly profound way. He knew who he was, and walked through the world with a sense of playfulness, humor, and powerful will. He passed away this spring and his death immediately triggered a sense of celebration as well as grief within his children and grandchildren.

Celebration because he modeled a life well lived; grief because we knew that there would never again be a soul expressed so uniquely on this Earth as Pete Hicks. Leo, when expressed in a healthy way, means being able to radiate and shine just as we are in all our authenticity with exuberance, cheer, and a willful capacity to relish life and the challenge of living it to the fullest.

Venus square Saturn

The Scorpio Goddess, moving through the sign of Capricorn, squares Saturn today, as she continues to release her blocks at the throat chakra. She is dismantling and disarming all that holds her back from expressing her most soulful truth, and showing up–in a fully empowered way.  As she continues her journey into the Underworld she approaches the 4th Gate, or 4th Chakra (heart) on February 28 where she will release what holds her back from a full experience of unconditional love, intimacy, and inner harmony.

Sun enters Pisces and Conjuncts Chiron

Saturday morning the Sun enters the sign of Pisces and soon after is conjunct Chiron. We are flooded with a capacity to sense into our individual and collective sacred wound and to tap into powerful levels of healing. The way healing works when we are dealing with Chiron is that we must first come to a profound acceptance of our broken places, our state of human imperfection.

There comes a moment when we wear ourselves out. We exhaust ourselves in a constant fight against ourselves because of the places where we fall short. It is often in these moments, where we surrender to the reality that we cannot will ourselves into perfection–that we paradoxically experience a rush of relief and a strange sense of wholeness, and rightness. Our hearts soften, and we can see ourselves, and our lives–as well as others–with renewed tenderness and joy.

#2 – Words of wisdom from Abraham…

“When we say to you, make peace with where you are, we want you to make peace with where everyone is; we want you to make peace with the world events; we want you to make peace with where your friend is in relationship with where your friend wants to be. We want it to be all right with you where anybody is.”— Abraham

Attune your heart chakra and help change the world!

In honor of Valentine’s Day, here’s a link to a sweet video created by the folks at Super Mind Evolution that attunes the heart chakra and contains brainwave entrainment (so use headphones, if you’ve got them) to add to its potency. Yes, I realize this is a day “late,” but I just found out about it myself. AND you can download it for FREE, so it’s a nice little belated Valentine’s gift and a way to change your life AND the world for the better.

“We would like to leave you with this very clear knowing that we hold: You are just a few laughs away from letting a whole lot of good stuff in. You are just a few kisses away from letting a whole lot of good stuff in. You are just a little bit of relief away from letting a whole lot of good stuff in.”— Abraham

Thanks, and forward this on to anyone you think might vote, too!
And for inspiration and stimulation, here’s my Abraham quote for the day, my ACIM lesson for the day, AND my daily message from Chellie Campbell. You can get any or all of them delivered to your in-box by signing up at the appropriate website.

“Many people focus upon unwanted things, with no deliberate attention to the emotional Guidance within them, and then they try to compensate for their lackful thinking with physical action. And because of the misalignment of Energy, they do not get results from their action, so then they try harder by offering more action, but still things do not improve.

Like the air you breathe, abundance in all things is available to you. Your life will simply be as good as you allow it to be.”— Abraham

My holiness blesses the world.

This idea contains the first glimmerings of your true function in the
world, or why you are here. Your purpose is to see the world through
your own holiness. Thus are you and the world blessed together. No one
loses; nothing is taken away from anyone; everyone gains through your
holy vision. It signifies the end of sacrifice because it offers
everyone his full due. And he is entitled to everything because it is
his birthright as a Son of God.

There is no other way in which the idea of sacrifice can be removed
from the world’s thinking. Any other way of seeing will inevitably
demand payment of someone or something. As a result, the perceiver
will lose. Nor will he have any idea why he is losing. Yet is his
wholeness restored to his awareness through your vision. Your holiness
blesses him by asking nothing of him. Those who see themselves as
whole make no demands.

Your holiness is the salvation of the world. It lets you teach the
world that it is one with you, not by preaching to it, not by telling
it anything, but merely by your quiet recognition that in your
holiness are all things blessed along with you.

Today’s four longer exercise periods, each to involve three to five
minutes of practice, begin with the repetition of the idea for today,
followed by a minute or so of looking about you as you apply the idea
to whatever you see:

    My holiness blesses this chair
    My holiness blesses that window
    My holiness blesses this body.

Then close your eyes and apply the idea to any person who occurs to
you, using his name and saying

    My holiness blesses you, [name].

You may continue the practice period with your eyes closed; you may
open your eyes again and apply the idea for today to your outer world
if you so desire; you may alternate between applying the idea to what
you see around you and to those who are in your thoughts; or you may
use any combination of these two phases of application that you
prefer. The practice period should conclude with a repetition of the
idea with your eyes closed, and another, following immediately, with
your eyes open.

The shorter exercises consist of repeating the idea as often as you
can. It is particularly helpful to apply it silently to anyone you
meet, using his name as you do so. It is essential to use the idea if
anyone seems to cause an adverse reaction in you. Offer him the
blessing of your holiness immediately, that you may learn to keep it
in your own awareness.

“When I’m about to take a risk, I consider the down side. If it’s not death, I do it.”—Nancy Sardella

Amy Frelinger, one of my class participants, came in one afternoon exasperated about an experience she had at the grocery store. She had seen an older woman in the produce section looking over the artichokes. The woman picked up one, then another, of the vegetables, turning them around and around in her hands, frowning. Noticing Amy watching her, she smiled and said, “I don’t know how to cook these, do you?” Amy said that she did, and gave her some simple directions on how to steam the artichoke and then eat it with melted butter.

Another woman overheard the conversation and chimed in with the suggestion that she dip it in herb salad dressing. Soon there were several people making suggestions on different ways to cook artichokes, encouraging the woman to try it. The woman listened and seemed to enjoy the conversation, but eventually put the artichoke back, saying, “I’m just not sure about this.”

Amy was aghast. She was incredulous that the woman couldn’t take the risk to cook an artichoke. “It only cost $1.49!” she exclaimed. “How big a risk could it be?”

Step outside your comfort zone today. Take a risk. You don’t have to quit your job, get divorced or move to another country yet. Practice with little risks. Shop at a different grocery store. Drive a different route to work. Try out a new restaurant. Watch a foreign film with subtitles. Cut your hair. Go to a concert. Sleep on the other side of the bed.

Cook an artichoke.

Today’s Affirmation: “I relish new experiences that enrich my life!”

I give this exercise in my workshop – to make some little changes. Simple ones like part your hair on the other side (feels really weird), put your other shoe on first (didn’t know you did it the same every day did you?), or change the way you put the toilet paper on the toilet paper holder (if you always have it going over the top, put it so the paper comes out underneath).

Truly compulsive behavior is changing the toilet paper in other people’s homes (and yes, I’ve done that).

It took me awhile to figure out that there were some people in class who had no trouble changing things up. They didn’t have many routines at all, and never did things the same way twice. So the exercise never made them feel awkward or out of sync.

When I figured that out, after giving the exercise instructions, I asked if anyone found that an easy exercise because they were always changing things? Several people smiled and nodded, exclaiming that they never did the same thing.

“Well, don’t feel so smug,” I said, “because you’re going to do the opposite exercise. I want you to invent a routine of seven or eight steps and do that same routine every morning without any changes.”

“Oh, no!” they moaned and groaned and complained, just like the others who had to mix it up.

Once a man who was very ordered and compulsive went home and changed all the toilet paper rolls in his home and at work. It drove him crazy every day, and when he came to class, he reported how it upset him to have his routine broken that way.

His wife, who was one of the creative never-do-it-the-same-way-twice types, looked at him in amazement and said, “Honey, I didn’t know you did that!”

I tell them then that if they can’t change a little thing like the toilet paper, how are they going to change a big thing like their money? Take a look at what you are resistant to changing, and also where you never make a decision about the best way to do something. Both the ability to change and the ability to set a routine are important to establishing a good relationship with money. You need some structure, and some flexibility.

Where do you get stuck? In the structure or in the changes?–Chellie

Aquarius New Moon & other astrological updates

Here are several articles on the new moon and other astrological events…

#1- The first is from shamanic astrologer Tami Brunk and includes her perspective on current world events…

This week, like so many of you, I have been riveted to the screen, watching history unfold before my very eyes as the people of Egypt rise up against their corrupt government, demanding change.

Uranus plays a key role this year as it moves into Aries, crossing the Spring Equinox point of 0 Aries several times in 2011. The uprising in Tunisia, now in Egypt and potentially across the Middle East represents revolution and change at a level beyond comprehension.

Though we can’t know the outcome of these events, we can choose to activate, pray for, hold a space for the best possible outcome for Egypt, and for the rest of our global family including ourselves. We can send our support for the people’s passionate impulse toward liberation, freedom, and self actualization, even as we send light and protection to those who are most vulnerable in times of change.

The U.S. is currently in the midst of a Saturn Return cycle, which began in December and will continue through September. It is time for us to look deeply at our soul as a nation, to remember the promise and potential at the root of its inception (the radical notions of liberty, pursuit of happiness, equality, freedom of religion, etc.) and to ask how we can begin to re-enliven those potentials within our own lives and communities.

It is time for us to mature as a nation. Part of this, with Saturn in Libra, and the Uranian energies at play, has to do with our need to change the way we relate to the rest of the world. Imagine how it would feel to live up to our potential as a nation and as individuals–supporting and energizing freedom and well being for all people, in the ways they choose to claim it for for themselves.

Week of February 1 to 5

New Moon in Aquarius Chinese New Year and Imbolc

Tonight’s New Moon in Aquarius is a very special one–as today we also celebrate the Chinese New Year-the Metal Rabbit.  It is also the Celtic cross quarter holiday of Imbolc which, like Groundhogs Day reminds us to invoke and begin to celebrate the first signs of spring. This year my partner and I are observing the Chinese New Year by clearing and renewing our intentions around relationship, spiritual life, and prosperity. I see it as another opportunity for a “reset point”-I am more prepared for it now than I was for the Gregorian New Year.

With the New Moon in Aquarius we are reminded to take a step back our “middle world” anxieties and mind chatter. Take a deep breath. Tonight, as close as possible to 7:30 MST, when the New Moon is exact, take the time to meditate. Perhaps you will want to make a simple Imbolc altar with a red and/or white candle and a green plant, or plant with green leaves and a white flower-something to invoke the Sun of spring (Red), the white of snow, melting (white) and the green of new life (green).

I suggest meditating before setting your intentions so as to allow yourself some spaciousness and separation from your daily routine. In this meditation you might wish to imagine your spirit lifting out of your body and circling far above the Earth, to look at your life from this distance-from a place that is closer to the mind of God. As you observe yourself and your life from this detached and bigger perspective, experience a sense of relaxation into Great Mystery.

We don’t have to control everything, manage everything. Something Aquarius can teach us is a profound sense of trust in the unfolding of life, that at the Spirit level all is always well. Now return to Earth holding that feeling of spaciousness within your consciousness; savoring it.

As you open your eyes you may wish to observe the flame of your candle and give gratitude for the flame of life that ignites your body, and the flame of Sun that ignites our Earth body with life, warming our days as we approach spring.

Of course, as is always true with the New Moon cycle, you can do this ceremonial work for several days surrounding the exact New Moon.

Venus enters Capricorn

Also on Thursday, the Sacred Feminine, i.e. Venus moves into the sign of Capricorn as she continues her descent into the Underworld.  As I see it, since November all of us have, at some level, been experiencing release and clearing habits and patterns in:

·         Our manner of approaching the Divine (7th Chakra)

·         Our intellect and intuition (6th Chakra)

·         Our truth and the capacity to speak it (5th Chakra)

All of this is being accomplished through the Sacred Feminine-which is Spirit moving through the Earth experience, or matter.

Venus in the overtone sign of Scorpio catalyzes an initiation cycle to reclaim our personal power in alignment with the organic pulse of the Earth itself.

We can surrender to all the ways life is helping us clearly identify, feel, and release our barriers toward this alignment with Earth cycles. With Capricorn involved, we can know that our willingness to engage this process means claiming our role as emerging elders in service to the Circle of the Grandmothers-and to new human laws and institutions in harmony with life on Earth.

Aquarius New Moon: Call and Response
by Dana Gerhardt

It’s another new moon: when the magically minded make wishes and astrologers attempt to divine this cycle’s intentions. But fates are personal. Even if a new moon chart could be forced to describe them all, no single astrologer could tell that many stories. The wishes you make now may indeed be super-powered, but if you don’t have a strong relationship with the archetypes, don’t expect special favors. If you rarely visit your eccentric Aunt Ella, don’t expect her to gift you with an iPad on your next birthday. New Moons are potent times to forge alliances with the gods. Visit the invisible world. Bow and open yourself to their touch. Make an offering. Humans have been rendezvousing with these archetypes for thousands of years. When you call out to the gods, they do respond!

Calling Aquarius

People say Aquarius the Water Bearer was actually human. He was a shepherd named Ganymede, who was so gorgeous, Zeus spirited him to the heavens to serve the thirsty gods water and wine. But this isn’t the full story. He was also a radical, always disturbing the village. He was teaching the sheep how to climb trees. While his sister was sleeping, he dyed her hair purple and blue. Afternoons he served fortitude tea to the crazy woman everyone hated. She adored his inventions: a thorn-bush goblet-scrubber, sandals-on-wheels, a wooden cart with wings, an eyepiece that revealed the fish on the Moon, and finally, a catapult that carried his resume to the heavens. He wanted to serve in a big way. Zeus hired him to be the gods’ water bearer, until Aquarius devised an ever-flowing water urn out of stars, leaving him free to pursue other ambitions.

Often, when Aquarius visits, he acts like a teenager. He rolls his eyes a lot, always hates what I like, spends hours locked in his room. He’s constantly texting, updating his Facebook profile, or watching YouTube videos on his iPhone. At first I thought Aquarius disapproved of me. Then I discovered the notes he left in all my favorite places. Some contained a quietly brilliant idea to make my life better. Others posed a question so startling, my world spun. Twice he shared visions of my future in such detail I believed they would actually come true. He’s a good friend now. His face betrays little emotion, but he’s very compassionate. He cares more about the word’s wellbeing than anyone I know. He loves this season, when the snows melt and it rains on Saturdays. When the clouds break, he takes me to an orchard of dead-looking trees and points out the tiny buds sprouting on the branches. His eyes are always looking to the future.

Honor Aquarius this month by breaking out of your box. Awaken from the midwinter slumber of your limitations. Your inner genius is ready for a revolution. Aquarius is THE cycle to raise your energy. In fact that’s the best way to call in Aquarius: Liberate yourself! Is there someplace you’ve been feeling stuck? If you’re not living the life you want, Listen. What has your spirit been longing to do? No sign has a greater connection to the future than Aquarius. It rules progress, innovation and breakthroughs. But first you’ve got to clear out all the musty, droopy, angry, wimpy, static energy of the recent past.

The inner and outer spaces mirror each other. If your work has been uninspired, rearrange your office and throw out old papers. If family relationships are not as harmonious as you like, give your home a top-to-bottom cleaning. A simple ritual for this New Moon is to become your own Water-bearing Angel. Fill an atomizer or spray bottle with energetically charged water. Charge the water by placing a crystal in it for at least 24 hours (before that, clean the crystal by soaking it in a bowl of salt or under the sun’s rays). If you’re familiar with Dr. Masaru Emoto’s work, you know that writing positive intentions on the water bottle (“grace,” “radiance,” “fertility,” “passion,” or “peace”) will further charge the water molecules. Dip a sprig of pine in the water to double its energetic potency. Pine is purifying–it smells clean too! On the day of the New Moon, visit all the rooms in your house and mist them with your ritual water. You should notice the difference instantly! Enjoy the newly charged air. Be alert. New inspirations may come pouring in.

Aquarius’s Response

Waiting for the response is the fun part. No way can I predict it for you. But if you’re edgy, itchy, and irritated, know that you’ve been touched. If you find yourself shouting “No!” to something you’ve tolerated too long, Aquarius may be prodding you. Or you might be suddenly inspired to figure out all those gizmos you’ve received as gifts—like your latest palm device. Or perhaps you’ll be moved to bring your home into the twenty-first century with a new appliance or two. Aquarius is THE cycle to upgrade your life. Take advantage of the latest technologies. Gadgets may seem like a tame way to celebrate this brilliant deva-but they are potent emblems of the possible human and its divinely inspired capacities. With a palm device you can instantly connect with the world. With your Aquarian genius, you might log onto the brilliance of the universe.
