# 5 – Insightful take from astrograph.com on the current new moon phase. It seems to point to what I’ve been hearing all along….that now is not about trying to fix what seems broken, but coming up with a whole new way of living and being in the world. So we better get good at letting go of the past fast. :-)
Friday’s New Moon is powerful in that it brings great energy, as the New Moon always does, and yet that energy is bottled up. Mars, action planet, is stifled by its near-exact conjunction with Saturn, with the New Moon exactly sextile. This configuration brings directly into the picture the limitations, and also the sense of groundedness and the lessons represented by Saturn. The other outer planets are all aspected as well. Mercury trines Uranus and aspects Pluto, while Mars and Saturn are quintile to Pluto, and the New Moonopposes Neptune. We are living in exciting and transformative times, with the second exact hit of the Uranus–Pluto square due just around the corner in mid-September. This major collision of outer planet heavyweights was the single aspect most aligned with the revolutionary sixties, and now characterizes our current decade of the Turbulent Teens. Saturn was involved with the polarization of those times as well as of these, our own.
At this moment of intensity, we find that there is very little agreement about anything on the political scene. Is the Republican vice-presidential choice an up-and-coming young star of the congress and of fiscal conservatism or a poster boy for a far-right agenda with very little substance? Is global warming a scientific reality or a plot by crazed liberals? Is President Obama responsible for the greatest dip in the economy since the Great Depression or is he trying his best to clean up after a flawed predecessor? As we head toward an important American election, the presence of both Saturn and Uranus–Pluto in these fall skies, starting with this New Moon, unfortunately presages even more of these types of polarization.
But Saturn has great and good lessons for us as well. It is one thing to go off into idealization and the romance of the perfect scheme, and yet another to ground this vision into practicality and bring the ship carrying our dreams safely into harbor. So now we all have the chance to make the necessary compromises in our lives that – with our ideals more or less intact – will see us through. It is important to take the high road whenever possible, and to give those we love as much slack as we can, without of course abandoning our principles. Not every battle is worth fighting.
We are slowly absorbing the recognition of the necessity for radical change. This means that we must suffer somewhat, and that we must leave behind some aspect of our lives that while we might hold it dear, just does not serve us any longer. It is a long and winding and a difficult road, but it is the road we must follow in order to get to where we truly need to be, as a society and in our individual lives as well.

# 6 – And Abraham’s insight on abundance…
Many people are approaching life from the flawed premise that if they work hard and struggle long and pay a big enough price, they will then be rewarded with financial well-being. And since they do not realize that in their struggle they are denying themselves alignment with the abundance they seek, when the abundance does not come, they attribute it to luck or favoritism that is being directed away from them and toward another.
But there is no luck or favoritism. There is only allowing or resisting, letting in or keeping out the abundance that you deserve.
As you gradually train your own thoughts into those of positive expectation, as you align with thoughts of worthiness and Well-Being, as you align with your true power by seeking good-feeling thoughts—you will no longer offer resistance to your own abundance. And when your resistance stops, your abundance will come. A flood of good-feeling ideas and possibilities will flow to you. Opportunities and propositions will be plentiful. And soon you will stand in knowing amusement that all of this was always there within your reach, but in your resistant state of attraction, you were not yet able to experience it . . . but then, it came—not because of your struggle but because of your ease.— Abraham
