Deepak’s affirmations, listen, Guest House, relax, relationship, and Abraham

TIPS FOR TODAY:

# 1 – A day-long, hourly affirmation routine from Deepak Chopra….

# 2 – Would you rather be right than happy?

# 3 – I really liked this and how it sort of takes away the stigma attached to “bad” emotions, experiences, etc. and helps us realize it’s all “good”….

THE GUEST HOUSE

This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival.

A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor.

Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they are a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still, treat each guest honorably.

He may be clearing you out
for some new delight.

The dark thought, the shame, the malice.
meet them at the door laughing and invite them in.

Be grateful for whatever comes.
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.

— Jelaluddin Rumi,
translation by Coleman Barks

# 4 – Ahhhh, just relax into it….

# 5 – This is good to keep in mind, and Nature seems to know what It’s doing by surrendering to “what is.” Maybe the path to achieving your goals was never intended to be a straight line?

Every Path in Nature is a Winding Path
Only man-made ideas are forced, pushed, pressed into the “right” way to do things. Nature finds her undeniable certainty expressing in whatever way is appropriate in the moment – without prediction, without rigidity, and most importantly with curving, flowing Grace.
Next time you walk in the woods, notice the natural pathways everywhere, ever beckoning your surrender to What Is.
# 6 – And from Abraham…..

There is no relationship of greater importance to achieve than the relationship between you, in your physical body, right here and now, and the Soul/Source/God from which you have come. If you tend to that relationship, first and foremost, you will then, and only then, have the stable footing to proceed into other relationships. Your relationship with your own body; your relationship with money; your relationship with your parents, children, grandchildren, the people you work with, your government, your world . . . will all fall swiftly and easily into alignment once you tend to this fundamental, primary relationship first. –-Abraham
