# 4 – I was telling someone the other day that answers are not all they’re cracked up to be. After all these years and being taught it’s all about getting/seeking/having answers, I’m finally realizing that questions are “where it’s at.” When we think we’ve got the answer, we quit being curious, open and in the flow.
Two of my favorite questions for bringing in greater and greater possibilities are “How does it get any better than this?” and “What else is possible?” Byron Katie’s The Work is also based on 4 great questions that can quickly help things shift.
Anyway, I love this from Dr. Sue Morter……
Patiently Love into the Question, Rather than Chase the Answer
When we can bring loving presence to the fact that we are unresolved in some way, the choice of love itself births the seed of the answer.
Love into the discontent, love into the indecisiveness, love into the pain; it all begins to dissolve even before the understanding arrives.
YOU house the solution and the vibration of love opens the door to Awareness.
And here’s a great quote about living with questions from Rainer Maria Rilke’s Letters to a Young Poet. . .
“I would like to beg of you, dear friend, as well as I can, to have patience with everything that remains unsolved in your heart. Try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books written in a foreign language. Do not now look for the answers. They cannot now be given to you because you could not live them. It is a question of experiencing everything. At present you need to live the question. Perhaps you will gradually, without even noticing it, find yourself experiencing the answer, some distant day. Perhaps you are indeed carrying within yourself the potential to visualize, to design, and to create for yourself an utterly satisfying, joyful, and pure lifestyle. Discipline yourself to attain it, but accept that which comes to you with deep trust, and as long as it comes from your own will, from your own inner need, accept it, and do not hate anything.”
