To Your Health!

With all the latest “next best thing” health products and services available these days, it can be overwhelming when it comes to deciding where to invest your time and money. It’s nice to know that there are many things that people can do to improve their overall health and well-being that are often very simple, all-natural, and inexpensive (even free in some cases). In fact, one of our favorite things to tell people about is not only simple, natural, and inexpensive, but also offers multiple health benefits. It’s raw apple cider vinegar, and you might be amazed at what this little “miracle in a bottle” can do. Crystal salt, coconut oil and diatomaceous earth are other things I think the whole world should know about.

So, in the spirit of the famous toast “Salud!” (as in “to your health”), the following list is offered to support you in finding your “sweet spot” for creating greater health and well-being….

RAW APPLE CIDER VINEGAR – At just a few dollars a bottle,  this is definitely one of the easiest and least expensive ways to improve your daily health regimen. Find out more about why raw apple cider vinegar should not only be in your kitchen pantry,  but in your first aid kit, as well.

HIMALAYAN CRYSTAL SALT – As different from regular table salt as a diamond is from coal, crystal salt is not only a terrific flavor enhancer, but also a health supplement that offers wide-ranging benefits. No dinner table or medicine cabinet should be without it!

COCONUT OIL – What could be better than something that smells so good and is soooo good for you?! And coconut oil has a myriad of health uses, both internally and externally. It’s a cooking, beauty, and health aid with a light, delicious smell that will make you think you’re on a beach somewhere in Hawaii. Yum. And be sure to read this post in the Self-help Health archives as a way to detox the body.

DIATOMACEOUS EARTH – If you don’t know about this inexpensive, multi-purpose, all-natural substance, then you really should check it out. Read this Self-help Health blog to learn about the many health benefits and uses it has. You’ll likely be amazed!

SALT WATER FLUSH – One of the simplest and quickest ways to clean out and rejuvenate your digestive tract is to do a salt water flush. And all you need is some water and salt to experience the multiple benefits of this cleansing routine!

LIVER CLEANSES – The liver is arguably one of the most important organs in the body. In fact, Chinese Medicine considers it to be the most important. With all of the functions it carries out on a daily basis, including manufacturing bile, filtering out toxins and waste, producing chemicals and hormones, and regulating blood sugar, it’s no wonder!

THE MASTER CLEANSE – One of the most popular, all-purpose cleanses around is the Master, or Lemonade Cleanse, and with good reason. If you’re looking for a way to lose weight or cleanse and detox your body, then this may be just the ticket for you!

NETI POTS – Like the colon, kidneys, and skin, the nasal passages serve as one of the body’s avenues of elimination, so their periodic cleansing is important to overall health and wellness. And if you’ve ever suffered from sinus infections, allergies, frequent colds and congestion, or dry and uncomfortable nasal passages, then you really need to know about neti pots and how they can help keep your nose and sinuses healthy and free of excess mucus, allergens, and infectious organisms.

SALT LAMPS – Want a wonderful accent piece for your home or office that does double duty as an air purifier and mood elevator? Then consider adding a salt lamp or two to your living environment. Much more eye-appealing than some old black box high-tech device, and a natural way to cleanse the air of mold, dust, smoke, pet dander, and other allergens. Now that’s a “mood light” that really does its job!

You can read this Self-help Health post to learn more about salt lamps and inhalers, or visit Himalayan Salt Shop for some great deals on lamps and other salt-related products.
